Emily Cheung Tsz Ching (b. 2000, Hong Kong) is an emerging artist based in Germany, currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Public Art and New Artistic Strategies at Bauhaus Universität Weimar. Her practice is deeply rooted in the exploration of displacement, collective memory, and identity, themes that resonate with her personal and cultural experiences. Emily’s academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Environment and Interior Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where her undergraduate project, My Printing Machine: The Making of Memory Artefact, examined the intersection of memory and identity within the politics of space. This foundational project laid the groundwork for her ongoing artistic re- search, which navigates the intricate relationships between memory, image fidelity, and urban transformation.
